Eastern Wyoming Education Advocate
Location:
Must reside in Laramie County, WY. Travel required.
Position Overview:
This full-time, 40 hours per week position supports the implementation of our Wyo Wonders curriculum in 2nd–5th grade classrooms across Wyoming. The role focuses on teacher recruitment and retention, professional development delivery, program evaluation, and collaboration with educators, administrators, and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation & Development: Support the rollout of the Wyo Wonders implementation plan, including updates to lessons, stewardship materials, and online resources.
- Teacher Recruitment & Retention: Recruit, engage, and retain educators to participate in summer workshops and to actively teach the Wyo Wonders curriculum.
- Collaboration: Build and maintain positive working relationships with teachers, administrators, and the Education Team while effectively supporting schools in your assigned region.
- Professional Development: Plan, facilitate, and evaluate summer workshops, curriculum revisions, and professional development sessions; provide ongoing support to participating educators.
- Program Evaluation: Collect, analyze, and report data on program impact for teachers and students. Use evaluations and feedback to improve workshops and program delivery.
- Communication & Outreach: Serve as a point of contact for school boards, principals, industry leaders, and educators. Deliver presentations, provide follow-up opportunities, and maintain strong communication with the EA team.
- Marketing & Reporting: Assist with email communication, classroom visits, presentations, and marketing efforts. Provide updates and data for reports using platforms such as Salesforce.
- Support WAIC Programs: Contribute to Wyoming Agriculture in the Classroom (WAIC) programs and projects, including website updates, unit edits, and resource maintenance.
- Administrative Duties: Complete daily administrative tasks, ensure timely communication, and handle information with confidentiality.
- Relationship Management: Serve as the lead liaison for University of Wyoming partnerships due to proximity to Laramie.
- Team & Supervision: Work alongside the other Education Advocates in support of the Education Team, under the supervision of the Director of Education.

Travel Requirements:
Regular statewide travel is required to support program implementation, teacher recruitment, professional development workshops, and outreach. The assigned service area includes Carbon, Albany, Laramie, Platte, Goshen, Niobrara, Weston, Crook, and Campbell Counties (orange counties in map). Travel will be monthly – 25% annually.
Preferred Experience:
Agriculture education. Administrative role(s). Master’s degree.
Salary:
$50,000-$60,000 (depending on experience).
